When should you schedule an electrical inspection?

There are many scenarios, in which, it is obvious that you need to hire an electrician but what about a regular inspection? How often should you have a licensed electrician inspect your electrical system?

After a storm- You should take precautions if…..

-If your home has been flooded and electrical power outlets, wiring or any other parts of your electrical system have gotten wet.

-If any of your electrical appliances were affected by the storm water. Be careful to avoid touching anything that is run on electricity before a licensed electrician can deem it safe.

-Depending on the area you live in, If there is a flood and your electricity is disconnected, you may even need a certificate from a licensed electrician before your power can be reconnected.

-If you have old wiring and it hasn’t been updated in awhile.

-If your home is over 25 years old, or sooner if you have any concerns. For example, these concerns could be breakers being tripped repetitively, or regular power outages occurring.
